For Swedish & Norwegian Golfers on the Costa del Sol

From October to April, Estepona and the New Golden Mile fill with Scandinavian visitors. Swedish and Norwegian golfers arrive for a week of sun and fairways; many stay for the whole winter in the urbanisations around El Pilar, Cancelada and Selwo. We see the same faces year after year β€” and we've learned exactly what makes a restaurant work for them.

Indian food is Scandinavia's comfort food abroad

Curry houses are woven into everyday life in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo and Bergen. Guests arrive knowing exactly what a korma, a bhuna and a vindaloo should taste like β€” and they hold us to it. That's a compliment we take seriously: our spice blends are ground in-house, our tandoor is real, and our sauces are built slowly rather than poured from a base.

Everything in English β€” and no menu guesswork

Our team speaks English fluently, the menu is clear, and our website is available in English, Swedish, French and Norwegian so you can browse the whole card and prices before you arrive. Tell us your spice level in plain words β€” mild, medium, hot, or 'as hot as the kitchen dares' β€” and we'll cook to it exactly.

What Scandinavian guests order most

  • Butter Chicken β€” the number one order, mild and creamy.
  • Chicken Tikka Masala β€” familiar, comforting and done properly.
  • Lamb Rogan Josh β€” fragrant and warming after a windy round.
  • Tandoori Mixed Grill β€” the group starter that always gets ordered twice.
  • Sag Paneer and Dal Tarka β€” for the vegetarians in every party.
  • Garlic naan and pilau rice β€” non-negotiable.

Halal, vegetarian, vegan and children β€” all covered

The entire kitchen is 100% halal-certified, the vegetarian menu is extensive rather than an afterthought, most vegetable curries can be made vegan on request, and there's a proper kids' menu for families wintering here with children. Nobody at your table gets a compromise plate.

Long stays, long tables and takeaway to the villa

If you're here for a month or a season, you'll quickly find your Friday routine. Many of our Scandinavian regulars alternate: one week on the terrace with a big group, the next collecting a takeaway feast to eat on the villa terrace while the golf is on television. Large orders and society dinners are welcome β€” just give us a little notice.
